Penn EventsCeleste Ng The Asian American Studies Program presents the Yoonmee Chang Memorial Lecture featuring Celeste Ng, bestselling and award-winning writer, author of Everything I Never Told You, Little Fires Everywhere, and Our Missing Hearts. The lecture honors Chang, who received her Ph.D. from Penn in 2003 and was a key student leader in founding ASAM. Explore one of the country’s biggest and best outdoor art galleries — aka all of Philly — with guides who know the city best. Offerings this year include tours of Center City, historic Germantown, Bella Vista and more, plus a brand-new Outside in Art tour featuring an eclectic mix of murals, mosaics, sculptures and more at The Fashion District. Penn EventsTAKE BACK THE NIGHT Take Back the Night is the largest international campaign to end interpersonal and sexual violence on college campuses. Student activist group ASAP (Abuse and Sexual Assault Prevention) hosts an annual Take Back the Night at Penn, which includes a rally, a march through campus, and a survivors’ vigil and speak out. For the first time, this year we will be hosting a resource fair connecting the Penn community to available resources and organizations in order to prevent interpersonal violence and support survivors of abuse. Take Back the Night is open to the community and students from all levels of study (i.e. undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral) are invited to attend! When: Thursday.
