What's going on in Philly?Indoor Attractions & Dining are Open in Philadelphia Many of Greater Philadelphia’s museums and attractions are now open for in-person visitation — and might be a little quieter than normal, which makes for a special kind of visitation experience. Currently open attractions include the Barnes Foundation, The Liberty Bell Center, the Institute of Contemporary Art, LEGOLAND Discovery Center and many more. Also of note: As of January 16, restaurants throughout the region can welcome indoor diners again. Note that many businesses are operating under limited hours and only on select days, so be sure to check ahead before swinging by. Danny Simmons ... Studio Time at The Inliquid Gallery at Crane Arts Through Saturday, February 20 During his COVID-19 stay-at-home period, painter Danny Simmons crafted a collection of colorful, swirling mazes that evoke all the emotions that have come with the pandemic. To see the works — on view through February 20 at The Inliquid Gallery — make an appointment or stop by between noon and 5 p.m. on weekends. Winter at Dilworth Park
Ice Rink & cabin: through February 28; Wintergarden: through April Delightful pop ups abound in Dilworth Park every winter. Folks can embrace the season by cruising around the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink, offering timed, 90-minute skating sessions; stroll through the Wintergarden on the Greenfield Lawn, an open-air wonderland of lights, topiaries and rustic décor perfect for photo ops; and relax in the Rothman Orthopedics Cabin, where seasonal cocktails and food await in an open-air set up. On Thursday, college students can enjoy $2 skating admission and $2 hot chocolates. Brush up on the park’s latest safety protocols before visiting.

However, most people don't think about it until they experience a fall, and balance actually begins to decline between the ages of 40 and 50. Pilobolus' Connecting with Balance workshop helps people of all ages reconnect with their bodies and environment. Exercises in mobility and balance will encourage participants to improve balance, think creatively and build community together. This one-hour Zoom class is free and open to all levels of ability with modifications and varying intensities to meet the needs of attendees. For this class, you will need a chair, a small can or plastic cup, a tennis ball (or other small ball) and a little open floor space. Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest — one of Philly’s favorite winter traditions — has brought the seasonal spirit back to the Delaware River waterfront for another year. The winter wonderland offers guests a chance to go skating at the city’s largest outdoor rink and cozy up at one of the warming cabins and fire pit stations — all while overlooking the Delaware River. New for 2020: carnival games and a Ferris wheel. Read more about what Winterfest is doing to keep guests safe, then reserve timed tickets for ice skating, cabin rentals and/or firepits. Until March 7th WinTOUR Scavenger Hunt This winter, the Fairmount Park Conservancy is encouraging folks to get out and discover the hidden gems of one of Philly’s best green spaces during its new WinTOUR Scavenger Hunt. The free, all-ages and social-distancing-friendly scavenger hunt features five different routes, each with a theme: historic homes, public art, nature, water, and past & present. Participants who complete the 80 missions before the last day of winter (March 19) win a membership to the Fairmount Park Conservancy. Happy exploring!
